How does the creative process work?
Delegation:
Define projects roles and who is in charge of design approval internally. To ease the communication process, there needs to be an accessible appointed contact that can provide project materials.
Planning:
Set a time and budget that is marginally flexible. The design is always more successful when a project is well planned and given time to fine-tune and tweak. Remember it is always cheaper the earlier your project is scheduled.
Resources:
Provide several examples of web/graphic design that you like and a few that you dislike. It is important that you provide as much information as possible about how you envision the project.
Setting goals:
Define the goal for the project and what should be achieved upon execution. Be sure there is a way to measure the project success.
Preparation:
Be sure to have ALL necessary materials ready for the completion of the project. Make sure to have all images, artwork, text edited free of errors and ready for implementation. There is typically a delay in the final product if there is any missing content.
Delays:
Each project has a predetermined time and fits into a tight schedule. Communicating any delays in content, revisions, approval, vacations, or if you are just having a busy week should be communicated so schedule adjustments can be made accordingly.
